Quality Assurance
Quality Assurance
GlobalHealth believes in providing the best of services and care to its membership and providers. To do this, GlobalHealth has established a Quality Improvement (QI) Program that is geared to recognizing areas needing improvement throughout all areas of the GlobalHealth plan and implementing action plans to address problems that are identified.
Annually, the GlobalHealth QI Program is presented for review and approval to the GlobalHealth Quality Improvement Committee (QIC). The QIC meets on a regular basis and is presented with information from all the various departments that attend to all aspects of GlobalHealth member’s and provider needs. An annual QI Work Plan is developed to encompass not only targeted areas requiring improvement, but also regular monitoring of areas that are on track to ascertain GlobalHealth’s ever-present commitment to offering quality care to it’s members. GlobalHealth uses nationally accredited standards and established benchmarks as its goals and is currently seeking accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) through a stringent survey process. Although GlobalHealth is a young health care program, it has already successfully completed a full NCQA audit and is proud to be able to display the official 2005 NCQA HEDIS Compliance Audit seal. In 2006,GlobalHealth, will again, participate in the HEDIS audit as well as the HOS (Medicare Health Outcome Survey) and CAHPS (Consumer Assessment of Health Plans) survey. These quality indicators are an affirmation to GlobalHealth’s pledge to always strive to provide the best care possible through ongoing improvement.
